DCL customizes a POL for a practice through a Physicians Office Laboratory Management Services Agreement (POLMSA). As compensation for the services DCL provides, a practice pays DCL a monthly management fee equal to fifty percent (50%) of a practice's billed charges from tests performed in the POL, net of contractual adjustments. Each practice has sole and exclusive ownership of its POL. Both DCL and the practice, however, have specific responsibilities for operation and management of a practice’s POL.
