Implementation

DCL guides each practice through implementation of its POL. In addition, DCL provides implementation of a POL at no upfront cost to a practice. Implementation includes three distinct phases – Concept, Compliance, Launch - and takes approximately 90 days. The following summary describes the process.

CONCEPT

This phase assists a practice to customize a POL to its specific requirements. It addresses the following:

  • Utilization Report – assessing a practice’s current test menu and lab usage;
  • Payer Mix Report – identifying a practices mix of third-party payers including Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance and private pay;
  • Test Menu – determining the specific list of tests a lab will conduct and tailoring the Test Requisition Form to a specific set of tests;
  • Equipment Selection – customizing the POL solution based on the Test Menu and anticipated test volume;
  • Site Survey – analyzing the space to determine the best location for the POL;
  • Space Plan – designing a space plan for installation of the POL;
  • and IT Assessment – evaluating the EMR and/or billing systems for integration with DCL’s Laboratory Information System.
