This phase guides a practice though the regulatory requirements associated with installing, operating, and maintaining a POL. It addresses the following: Regulatory

• Requirements – completing requirements of CLIA, state agencies, HIPPA, OSHA, STARK, and OIG;
• Proficiency Testing – establishing a proficiency-testing program for all regulated analytes on the test menu;
• Quality Assurance – tailoring DCL’s quality assurance program to a POL of any given practice; and Inspections – completing all required inspections of the various regulatory agencies.
