DoctorsChoiceLaboratory, Inc. assists medical practices to open their own laboratories. Such a laboratory is referred to as a Physicians Office Laboratory (POL). The POL is located within a practice’s office, and serves only the patients of that practice. Please refer to the COLA Fast Facts documents attached hereto for a summary of the regulatory basis for establishing POLs. DCL’s innovative POL solution merges the latest in science and technology. Our POL deploys computer driven solutions with imbedded quality control and self-diagnostic capabilities. We tailor the POL suite of equipment to the specific needs of any given practice. DCL also maintains equipment and inventories to ensure that each POL operates efficiently, reliably and meets compliance requirements.

BENEFITS

Having a POL allows a practice to offer “VIP” or “Concierge” level of medicine to patients while staying within Medicare and Medicaid guidelines and at no additional cost to patients, providers or the practice. Specifically, DCL makes it possible for a practice to order tests, draw samples, run tests and generally receive results the same day as the draw.
